Lovely fic! I loved your Rod voice especially. It really seemed like you got down that mix of affected perfection down right. He's very true to the character. John was hilarious too. I loved how freaked out he was about the kidnapping.

Um, just one little nitpick. You mentioned that John had a straight flush, but then it sounded like Rod was the one to win the pot with a full house.

"Ha." Rod said, laying down a full house. "To answer your question, Sheppard," he said, dragging the pot toward him, "I don't call this socializing. I call it restocking."

I think you worded this wrong, because a straight flush beats a full house. Sorry, but my poker geekness felt compelled to comment.
