I adored this-- it was beautiful and so constricting, and I figured out John's secret in inches and wondered, too, about the society. I really don't have much new to say on that count-- merely a resounding yes! to the posters above me.
But I especially want to commend the quiet genius of the title-- Thule-Gesellschaft, as the Thule Society, which concerned itself with a mystical lost homeland, under a totalitarian regime, and the connections made by that society between Thule and Atlantis. Just brilliantly, subtly gorgeous.
