God, that's an amazing story. The universe is frightening and creepy, and the way John has had to contort his life around it to survive is heartbreaking. I'd love to know more about this society and how it diverged from ours (I'm guessing the title is a hint that in this universe, Hitler won?).
The way the story hints at what's going on without actually coming right out with exposition on this society definitely makes me think Trin wrote this. It's brilliantly done in any case.
