If this isn't trinityofone's work, I'll be very, very surprised. It comes at the same idea from an angle that's about four degrees away from everyone else, it's smart, beautifully written prose, and reading it felt like being wrapped in bandages that are too tight. Constricted, rigid, painful. You recognize everything, yet there's this dissonance and creep to the universe it reveals. A really wonderful story and the hopeful ending is bittersweet, since if I remember the episode (McKay and Mrs. Miller) correctly,the Mensaverse Atlantis is back in touch with their Earth, and that colors my reactions.
